Welcome to Wealth IQ. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Wealth IQ website at wealthiq.ca, the subscription portal at signup.wealthiq.ca, and all related educational content, tools, and services (together, the "Service"). By accessing the Service or subscribing to a package, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
"Wealth IQ", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the company that operates the Service. "You", "your", "Member", and "Subscriber" refer to the person accessing the Service or subscribing to a package. "Package" means a Wealth IQ financial education subscription. "Cashback" or "welcome bonus" means the reward amount, ranging from $250 to $1,500, that may be paid to eligible Members based on their subscription and participation.
2. About Wealth IQ
Wealth IQ is a subscription-based financial education platform. Members subscribe to an educational package to access learning content, guided resources, and money-management tools. As part of certain packages, eligible Members may receive a cashback welcome bonus and agree to pay the package fee through scheduled bi-weekly installments. Wealth IQ is not a bank, lender, credit union, or credit-reporting agency, and a subscription is not a loan or a credit product.
3. Who Can Subscribe
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract (not under guardianship or otherwise deemed unfit).
- You must provide complete, truthful, and accurate information, and you may not impersonate any other person.
- You may not use the Service for any illegal, prohibited, fraudulent, money-laundering, or otherwise bad-faith purpose.
- You must be a resident of a province or territory where the Service is offered.
Acceptance of a subscription request is at the sole discretion of Wealth IQ. Meeting the criteria above does not obligate us to approve any request, and we may decline or deactivate a Member account at our discretion, in accordance with applicable law.
4. Subscriptions, Cashback & Payments
When you choose a package, you authorize Wealth IQ to enroll you in that subscription and to collect the associated installment payments on the schedule shown at checkout (for example, a set number of bi-weekly payments). The cashback welcome bonus, where offered, is sent to eligible Members by Interac e-Transfer after the subscription is recorded and approved.
- Cashback amounts and the number and value of installment payments depend on the package you select and are disclosed before you subscribe.
- You are responsible for making each scheduled payment on time. If a payment is returned or there are non-sufficient funds, a service fee may apply.
- Eligibility for cashback is linked to your subscription and your participation in the educational program; full participation requirements are outlined in your Member portal.
- There are no hidden fees. You pay the amounts tied to the package you choose, on the frequency shown, as long as you respect the terms of your subscription.
5. Collection and Use of Information
To process your subscription and assess which package suits your situation, we collect and verify information you provide and information about how you use the Service. This may include the contents of your application and your communications with us. We may use a secure instant bank verification tool to review your financial health as part of this assessment.
You consent to our use of this information to manage your subscription, and to our sharing it with affiliates, service providers, and partners that help us deliver, verify, and support the Service. Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Cookies
We use cookies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, and measure performance. By using the Service, you consent to our use of cookies in line with our Privacy Policy. Some of our analytics and advertising partners may also set cookies.
7. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, Wealth IQ and/or its licensors own all intellectual property rights in the Service and its content, including educational materials, text, graphics, and logos. You may access this material for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You must not republish, sell, rent, sub-license, reproduce, duplicate, copy, or redistribute material from the Service without our written permission.
8. User Submissions
Parts of the Service may let you submit messages, questions, or other content. You retain responsibility for what you submit and warrant that it does not infringe any third-party right and is not unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or an invasion of privacy. We do not necessarily review submissions before they appear and are not liable for them. We may remove any content we consider inappropriate or in breach of these Terms. You grant Wealth IQ a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and edit your submissions in connection with operating the Service.
9. Links To and From Our Site
Government agencies, search engines, news organizations, and similar reputable organizations may link to our Service, provided the link is not deceptive, does not falsely imply endorsement, and fits the context of the linking site. We may request that you remove any link to our Service at any time, and you agree to remove it promptly. Without our prior written permission, you may not frame our pages or use our logo or artwork to link to us. We are not responsible for the content of any third-party website that links to or from the Service.
10. Disclaimer
Wealth IQ provides general financial education only. It does not provide individualized financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and nothing in the Service should be treated as such. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we provide the Service "as is" and exclude all representations, warranties, and conditions relating to the Service. We do not warrant that the information on the Service is complete, accurate, or always available. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Wealth IQ and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Service. These limitations govern all liabilities arising under this disclaimer, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
Wealth IQ carries on business in the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any subscription is deemed to be entered into in Quebec, regardless of your place of residence or where your request was made. You agree that the laws of Quebec and of Canada apply, and that any dispute will be heard exclusively in the courts of the Province of Quebec, Canada.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as our services or the law change. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. If you continue to use the Service after changes take effect, you accept the revised Terms.
